Announcing Writer Therapy
Well, the facebook page is up. People have started asking questions. So I guess it’s time for the official announcement. I’m part of an online webseries about a writing critique group that will be debuting sometime this summer. Think The Guild meets Stranger Than Fiction. And that’s Writer Therapy.
Writer Therapy is a comedy/drama webseries about best friends, true love, and most of all: writing that first novel. The web series follow the crazy shenanigans of a critique group as they (try to) get published.
The first season kicks off with Chersti, a recent college grad who has just finished her first manuscript. Fortunately, she has her critique group to help her through the querying process. Though the groups’ crazy antics—including everything from stalking famous authors to striking out on a personal quest—might deter from them actually writing, it is perfect research for their books, which will obviously be the BIGGEST thing since Harry Potter or Hunger Games.
You can watch the videos either on youtube or our website.
Wow. Can’t tell you how good it feels to get that secret off my chest! The website is currently under construction, but it should be up in the next couple of weeks.Until then, go ahead and like our facebook page to get the updates. And we’re voting on the “official” logo. The choices are:
1. because going postal isn’t an option. (or IS an option, which is better)
2. because it’s acceptable to hear voices when you’re a writer
3. The AA for writers
4. One group. One goal. Get published.
5. Sign me up now!
6. Someday I’ll get paid for being crazy
7. because writer’s block is real!
So far the popular one is the first option. But which would you pick?
