So for NaNoWriMo I am revising one of my manuscripts, and I decided to post the highlights from each day, since my brain turns dead to anything else. Seriously, you can ask my critique group because I was basically sleeping on the couch instead of speaking. (Hey, I’d been up since 7 am revising . . . and now I know the real meaning of ‘brain dead’ — well, not the real meaning since I had a friend who was officially declared ‘brain dead’ and woke a few minute later, but this as close as I ever hope I get without earning a death certificate like he has on his wall).
Today’s shocking find: Apparently my main character turned omnipotent because she knew something before anyone told her . . . yeah, fixed that one.
Today’s favorite quote: “Don’t tell me what you’re doing,” he said, his dark eyes serious. “And keep out of trouble, because I’m not there to watch your back.”
Today’s distraction was brought to you by: Show Off from musical THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. I happened to be listening to the song while I revised, and it’s just so funny I had to watch the clip. Seriously, Sutton Foster is able to do a 6 second costume change ON STAGE, and it just blows me away every time.
How’s your NaNoWriMo going?
well, my NaNo was put on hold while I did revisions…but the revision is almost complete (yay!! happy dance!) and i hope to get back to my NaNo next week! 6,000 words a day and i should finish by the 30th. GULP.
Way to go, Amie! I am so impressed with you 🙂 I just know you can make it by the end of the month.
I’m trying to finish my WIP (so close!) before Thanksgiving so I can enjoy my Holidays while my WIP simmers before I tear it to shreds.
Thanks for the distraction. I love Sutton Foster and while I applaud her fast costume changes I have to give more applause to her costumer. It’s all in the design!
I never thought of the costumer, so thanks for pointing it out. It does come all down to the design in the end. And good luck on finishing the WIP!
